Tsonga withdrew from the U.S. Open: It would be stupid to go and have no chance
French tennis player Jo-Wilfried Tsonga withdrew from participation in the U.S. Open after failing to recover in time from a knee injury.
The eighth player in the world, said that it is necessary that one hundred percent ready to back championships.
"It would be foolish to go to the U.S. Open knowing that I have a chance, because I'm not fit enough," said Tsonga.
Last year Grand Slam tournament held in New York from 26 August 9th September.
Tsonga plans to return to competition at the tournament in Metz 16 September.
