Puyol will not retire
Barcelona captain Carles Puyol said he had no plans to end his football career this summer, and hopes to renew his contract with the Spanish champions. Pujol at the end of last season was forced to operate the fourth generation, sparking speculation that they will be forced to end his career.
"Now is not the time.I am Not going to retire. Want to do a deal, and if I can, and to extend it," said Pujol for the Spanish media.
He said he is slowly recovering, and that is painful postoperative period, but recovery is faster.
"My idea is to start with the first day of training preparation," said the Spanish national team.
Puyol has admitted that he is not sure whether the Spain coach Vicente del Bosque will still be able to count on him.
